Team Over Bored returned to Fireman’s Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin with some double trouble for the weekend as both Jamey Garner and fiance Deidra Ballard would be behind the wheel on this weekend. Ballard proved early on that in just her third event ever she could hang with the boys in Miss Over Bored.
The first of two shows kicked off on Saturday night with some gloomy and rainy weather but that didn’t stop the Monster Truck Throwdown fans or competitors. While Garner has been gaining a reputation as a strong racer this summer he once again put Over Bored into the final round. His opponent, none other than his bride to be in Miss Over Bored. Ballard would get the upper hand in this battle as she would fly Miss Over Bored to the victory for her first career racing victory! Saturday night wouldn’t see anymore victories for the time but it was still a great night overall and one to celebrate.
Sunday afternoon saw some better weather and some great action from the Monster Truck Throwdown stars. Ballard wouldn’t be able to defend her racing victory from the night before, but Garner would pick up a donut contest victory in the process with some wicked fast cyclones that’s he’s become known for. Unfortunately the truck suffered damage to the front power steering pump in the process and would be out for freestyle that afternoon.
All in all it was another good weekend for the team with a couple wins and a career first. Thanks to all the fans for coming out and to all of our sponsors for your continued support. Next up for the Over Bored team is a busy weekend with Monster Truck Throwdown with shows in Marion, Ohio and South Bend, Indiana on July 7th and 8th respectively.
